Just 9 kilometers from Madaba is Mount Nebo from where Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land of Gilead, Judah, Jericho and the Negev. The Moses Memorial Church boasts another example of Madaba mosaicists' with a piece measuring three by nine meters.
Mount Nebo is also a wonderful spot from which to watch the sun set and spend a few moments pondering on the historic significance of the place.
